Q&A

1. What is the difference between the March (Spring) Training Experience and the June (Summer) Trip?

  • March (Spring): Focused on training and development. Players train daily at Juventus facilities with Juventus coaches and play exhibition matches against Italian academy teams. This trip is less about pressure and more about learning and experiencing European football.

  • June (Summer): A competitive international tournament (World Cup format) with Juventus Academies from around the world (Chile, Russia, China, etc.). Best suited for teams traveling together with full squads.

2. What does the package include?
The package is per person and includes:

  • Hotel accommodation

  • Transportation (bus service + airport transfers)

  • Meals

  • Training and match logistics

  • Organized group activities (e.g., pizza night)

  • Insurance

Families are responsible solely for booking their flights to Italy; all other arrangements will be provided.

3. Can my son/daughter travel without a family member?
Players born in 2013 or earlier may travel without a parent, under the full supervision of the coaching staff. Parents must sign a Minor Travel Consent Form. If a player is arriving independently from another location, the club will arrange pickup at Turin airport.

  • March Trip: Strongly recommended that one family member attends.

  • June Trip: One family member per player is required.

4. Can I bring additional family members?
Yes. Family members are welcome to join but must be registered as participants to receive the same package (meals, accommodations, transportation, and activities).

5. Can I register myself and my child now, but later switch my spot with my spouse?
Yes. Deposits secure the spot by person, not name. Participant names will be finalized a few months before departure, so you can update later when Juventus requests the final list.

6. Can families stay in the same hotel?
Yes. Rooms are arranged based on family size:

  • 2 people → double room

  • 3 people → triple room

  • 4 people → two doubles (or one quadruple)

One parent must stay with their child in the hotel for safety and supervision.

7. Can families book their own Airbnb or separate lodging?
Yes, but at least one parent must stay overnight with the player. Families booking separately must also arrange their own transportation, as the group bus is reserved for package participants.

8. Do parents participate in the trip, and what does their cost include?
Yes. The cost is per participant — whether a player or parent — and includes 3 meals per day, accommodations, transportation, and all scheduled activities. Parents also have seats reserved on the bus for practices and matches.

9. How are accommodations arranged?
Most players stay with parents. Older players may share rooms with teammates (double or triple). Families of four can request either two doubles or a quadruple.

10. What is the role of parents during the trip?
Parents are spectators only. Players are fully supervised by staff. Parents may join the group for matches or enjoy free time. Optional parent-only activities (wine tasting, special dinners, etc.) are often organized.

11. What do families need to arrange on their own?
Flights to Turin.

  • March Trip: Arrive Sunday, March 29 (afternoon/evening). Depart Saturday, April 4 (morning).

  • June Trip: Meet Monday, June 8 (by 3:00 pm at Juventus Stadium). Depart Friday, June 12 (morning).

12. Can families travel to Turin but not participate in team activities?
Yes, but space at the J Hotel may be limited due to other academies traveling during Easter. Families may try booking directly, though reservations may not open far in advance. Alternatives include nearby hotels or B&Bs.

13. Can we watch training sessions and matches if we are not registered participants?
Yes. All matches and training sessions are open to the public.

14. Am I obligated to follow my child during training and matches?
No. Players are fully supervised. Parents are free to enjoy their own activities (for example, shopping in Via Roma 😁).

15. When should I book my flight?
After your child’s participation is confirmed. Ensure your passport is valid for at least 6 months beyond trip dates. Juventus Academy LA does not manage airfare.

16. Why do parents pay the same price as players?
Every participant receives the same package: 3 meals per day, accommodations, transportation, and group activities.

17. Do you know which hotel we will stay at during the World Cup?
Final details depend on group size. The projected locations are Bardonecchia or Sauze d’Oulx, both about 1 hour from Turin.

18. Can the academy provide letters for school absences?
Yes. We have provided these before, and most players were granted permission. Schools may also assign independent study packets.

19. Do we need a visa?
Visa requirements depend on nationality. If a visa is needed, the club can provide supporting documents explaining the trip’s purpose.

20. What happens if there aren’t enough players from my child’s team?
Players will be grouped by age with others from:

  • Local Juventus Academies (West LA, Chatsworth, etc.)

  • Other U.S. academies (New York, Miami, etc.)

  • International academies (Canada, Colombia, etc.)

This ensures teams are formed even if one group doesn’t have enough players.

21. How many games or training sessions will players have?

  • March Training Experience: 3–4 training sessions + 3 matches (6–7 total).

  • June Tournament: Minimum 6 games, up to 8 if advancing to finals.

22. What if the trip is canceled due to low numbers?
Deposits will be fully refunded.

23. What else can families expect?

  • Tours of Turin

  • Visit to the Juventus Museum and Store

  • Cultural experiences and sightseeing

  • Building friendships and connections with families worldwide
